About QuietOn Sleep earbuds
-
What is the difference between the old and new model?
In the QuietOn Original (gen 1) earbuds, the attenuation is roughly 40 dB in low and high frequencies and in the middle frequencies it’s a little bit under 20 dB. 50-hour battery life.
In the QuietOn Sleep (gen 2) model there is a button in the earbud. By pressing the button, the device is either in the hearing mode or in the noise reduction “silent” mode. When the earbud is in the hearing mode, you can hear all the frequencies (low, middle and high) without any attenuation. But when you press the button again and you are in the silent mode the attenuation level is roughly 25-30 dB in the 100 – 2000 Hz frequencies and 30-40 dB above that. 20-hour battery life, smaller size

Do you have an app to connect to your phone and do the earbuds create total silence?
No, our earbuds don’t play any sound. There is no connectivity at all in our earbuds like Bluetooth or radio etc. Our buds create active noise cancelling, but they are not playing any noise masking sounds.

Are the eartips included or are they ordered separately?
Our product package includes the basic S, M and L size (Small, medium and large) foam tips. (1 set each, 1 set includes 2 tips).
-
Do the earbuds have an alarm clock?
There is no alarm clock availability in our products. Once you receive our product, we highly recommend testing them with your alarm clock (before you go to sleep). Usually our buds work just fine with the alarm clocks (and other alarm sounds like phone ringing as well).

Do the plugs remove this sound … X..Y..Z.. ? Do they minimise Tinnitus?
QuietOn Sleep attenuate noise about 25-30 dB in the 100 – 2000 Hz frequency range and 30-40 dB above that. Below 100 Hz active noise cancelling is not effective and the noise reduction is comparable to passive earplugs. At the moment it’s impossible to create total silence because of human anatomy and how our hearing works. QuietOn Sleep has been optimized to reduce snoring sounds to the greatest possible extent.
Staying in a noisy environment might make tinnitus worse afterwards. Therefore, QuietOn Sleep with its good noise reducing capabilities can work as a preventive action. On the other hand, tinnitus becomes more noticeable in silence, so the earbuds might not help if your ears are already ringing. QuietOn isn’t able to “turn tinnitus off” because according to our understanding it isn’t real noise but an error signal inside the head.

Do these radiate harmful microwaves or any other waves?
There is no connectivity in our buds, like Bluetooth or radio. So, there is no radiation and therefore they don’t cause problems in the brain while using them. Our buds are safe to use.

Can I sleep on the side while wearing the earbuds?
